I rarely pass this church without wanting to stop and photograph it. It’s one of the most historic in Bulloch County, and without a doubt, one of the most beautiful Primitive Baptist churches I’ve ever seen.

You are my distant cousiin Mark because Absalom Parrish was my 3rd great-grandfather. He was the man who was married to Elizabeth Green.

I have ancestors and relatives buried here and their names were Edenfield and Parrish. I don’t know if my Green ancestors and relatives are buried there but I do know that Green was the maiden name of my 3rd great-gandmother and she is buried there. I’m also distantly related to people with the last name Lanier because my 5th great-grandmother was Patience Lanier and she was married to James Ludwell Lee.

Very nice photographs. The composition elements are so well done. Thanks for sharing. I am a direct descendant of Henry Parrish, from his eldest son Josiah, whose younger brother Absolom founded this church. I hope to visit this beautiful place someday soon! Well done, Brian. And thank you so much for documenting this important landmark.
