My great grandparents lived in this hotel for a time. My mother has fond memories of this hotel as a young teen. She states, ” Boy does this bring back memories, I was 11 when my grandparents lived here. They lived in one room upstairs in the back. Betty Anne and I used to check the rooms to make sure the Bible’s where in the rooms. The movie theater and a drug store was across the street.” My great grandfather, William James Wilson died of a heart failure in 1954 just outside of town.
