I would like to start an Owensboro Georgia facebook page and would like to use your photos..is this possible…I live in Owensboro…I will take my own if you don’t want me to use yours…T
I live in Owensboro, KY. I always was have had an interst in finding out more about the other Owensboro. We have a lot of small unincorporated communites like this in our area.
Thanks for sharing this information Whitney! I’ve always been very intrigued by this house. Owensboro is one of my favorite places in Georgia, even though there’s not much left of it…Knowing the history of a house always makes it come to life, no matter how old and neglected it may seem.
there is a Methodist church called Youngs Chapel about a mile south west of Owensboro just across the Ben Hill County line. It would be an awesome restoration project for preservation institute.
Do you have any contacts in that community? my email is whitbmitchell@gmail.com
