Reverend Art McClain, Sr., was just getting ready for services when I stopped by for this shot. He was very kind in allowing me to photograph the church. The parking lot filled up quickly.


When I photographed this, it was operating as R & R Country Store, but Mike Deaton notes: This was Curl’s Store. The Curl family started this business…everyone still says “Heading to Curls”.
Lisa Stevenson writes: …”this store used to be my dad’s. Once he passed away I owned it before selling to the Rowlands. Wayne Kemp bought it from them and remodeled it. It’s still open today.”
