T. F. Lee House, 1897, Leefield

The Lee family were the namesakes of the Leefield community.

Ruins of Perkins Grocery, Leefield

A dilapidated brick building surrounded by trees and overgrown vegetation, with a partially collapsed front wall and faded signage.

All that remains of this old grocery store is the external shell and a small section of a sign on which the words “Perkins Gro” are barely readable. The orientation of the side walls is very angular, as opposed to the normal straight-sided template.

Hip Roof Cottage, Leefield

Old, weathered wooden house with a red roof, partially covered in vines and surrounded by leafless trees and shrubbery.

Though this house of the hip-roof vernacular style once common throughout South Georgia, the front is a bit more formal, with hints of Neoclassical symmetry.
