I think this has been home to several restaurants over the years.
My mother talks of a little diner my granddddy owned. Supposedly he was famous for his chicken and his name was Charlie Davis but they called the place Chicken Charlie’s this would have been early 1900s backwoods Ga. They were farmers in the Alapaha area. I also have cousins from that area with the last name Lee. My cousin Otha is from the area and I believe his mother would have grown up in and around the diner. My grandfather was quite known to feed a hungry man with no money, but turn one away with a coming appetite as they always ate more lol. The family has debated on weather we had Indian descent as some of us Including my grandfather we’re quite dark skinned but had crystal blue eyes. My grandfather had 15 children so we have quite a large family although most of my mother’s brothers and sister were old enough to be her parents as my mother was the baby. So I have not been able to get much info from family members they are just too spread out.
