I’m almost certain at least that first picture is actually the Toccoa River, because I’ve fished that spot along Hwy. 60 a few times (That’s the highway you see running along the river in the background).
Either way, I love fishing up there on Coopers Creek and the entire Toccoa watershed. It’s my go-to trout spot
I started going to cooper creek in 1967 at the age of 5 with my dad. I still find myself going up a few times every year with my dad at 89 years young.
While at coopers you have to take the short drive to the deep hole and to the trout hatchery at rock creek all great places thank you for the article.
Thank you for these wonderful pictures. I’m looking forward to seeing Fairplay, Fannin County next.
Cheers,

I think you may be right , Hayden. I will update it soon. I’ve fished on the creek but not the river and this was a different access point for me.

Brian, Love all your pictures. You are doing so much to preserve the history of Georgia. Keep up the good work! God Bless you.
Thank you for these pictures. You are right about it being crowded on opening day of trout season.
