I’m looking for a photo of the Philidelphia Baptist Church.
Going from Douglas to Denton, it would be turn to the right on what I think is called the Bell Telegraph road, thought I am fuzzy on that one.
Maybe, someone at the store might know.
Ask about the church that was built on land donated by William Jasper Hand.
He is my great,great,great,great,great Grandfather.
It was been many years since I’ve been able to go there where our Hand family reunions are held.
I just wondered if you have a photo of it in your archives.
I remember back before it was bricked with indoor plumbing and later with a social hall added on, we had to go to the woods to the outhouse to…um…”do” our business.
I remember being terrified of falling in.
The smell was akin to Lowell’s Packing Company in August.
