Is the fishing camp still open?
can I get a phone # to take my grandson camping and fishing?
The last time I was there (a few years) they had an honor system payment box. I don’t have a phone number, but they likely still do the honor system.
Does anyone have a contact number for the Paradise Park Fish Camp by chance?
Do you rent cabins? I would love to rent one for a weekend. Please if you do email me prices and availability. Thx
What a treat it was to grow up with the Altamaha river basin as a playground and exposure to one of mother nature’s great stages. I will never forget hunting and fishing out of Paradise Park and the sights and sounds of the river’s wildlife waking up at daylight !
So many awesome memories….Harvey Stuckey, Herman Yeomans, Allie Edenfield, Robert Stevens, Ernest Harper, Dink Nesmith, Brad Yeomans….all great custodians of all the river had to offer !
My dad, Ralph Coker, and my uncle, J.A. Coker came every summer in the 70’s. They would bring the whole family and you talk about fun! One man’s name (well he was a teenager then) that ran the Camp is Brad & his sister was Monica. We were summertime friends & stayed together the whole week! I have pictures of the park from the 70’s through 80’s and the long community kitchen, cabins, and there was a house too back then.
Beth, that sounds like heaven.
Brad Youmans and I believe he still runs it.
That’s good to know. Someone told me that it was closed & a subdivision is there.
Post pics please we live down here full time. Had had this place since the early 90’s. Look me up on Facebook. Joey Chaney or Renee Lane Chaney thanks
My brother & I use to spend summers there with my Grandpa & Grandma Moore & uncle HT & knew a girl named Beth from there!? It’s been 35+ years ago.
My Dad had a houseboat on the Ogeechee River at the Steel Bridge when I was a little girl. Trying to stay in the bunk bed when boats came by wasn’t easy. Good memories.
