   Colonels Island does not have an apostrophe in it. Please correct spelling. It was named after three Colonels who chose to start plantations there.

      Fresh. It is a man-made lake.

   Great memories there..The Hinesville Church of Christ held youth groups there in the 60s. My family started fishing there on a regular basis and have caught many trophy bass, including a 13 pounder my brother Charles caught just before deploying to Viet Nam..
