I believe the Charlie Smith house is where my mother carries me about 42 years ago and said she lived there when she was about 12 with her Aunt Lottie Pettis. The house I am talking about is directly across the street from the RR. Uncle Lottie Pettis owned a store. The house I am describing had a garage/buggy house to the left and out in the woods to the right was a frame of a Methodist Church. I am trying to locate Jane Tucker Gentry that ID’d this house or anyone else that can give me info…When we pulled up there was an older couple sitting in the swing.

Love this picture. My great grandmother lived in a tiny house by a railroad track. I loved the sound of the trains. The noise didn’t come suddenly. I think first, you felt it! A gentle rumble of the earth. Thank you for the memories.
