Eastern Wood-Pewee, Sapelo Island

A bird in mid-flight, catching something in the air, against a blurred green background.

A small tyrant flycatcher, this Eastern Wood-Pewee (Contopus virens) was busy catching bugs, which are in great abundance on the island, near the Farmers Alliance Hall in Hog Hammock during my last visit. I was glad to get a shot of him at work.

A small brown bird perched on a wooden post, with a green blurred background.
