Woodville has several buildings on the National Historic Register, which you evidently missed. The beautiful brick Woodville Baptist Church with its huge beautiful stained glass windows and the beautiful two story columned Woodville School, which have been restored are true gems, The school has an auditorium with a balcony, original wooden lockers with the screened boxes at the top of each, which held students’ lunches, and the school library with the old books, etc. There is a museum room with old diplomas of students of the past. The school was last used in 1959, and is the fellowship hall and Sunday School rooms for Woodville Baptist Church. The original hand-painted drop stage curtain and backdrops are still there and are breathtaking and in excellent shape. You truly missed two of the best historical buildings in Greene County on Peachtree Avenue.
