There used to be old gas pumps in front of the building. They were the type that had glass tubes that showed how much gas was being pumped. My dad, Charles Harris told me that there was a store there that sold all kinds of things including high button shoes and even caskets.
You cant see that the inset above the double doors on the left front of the building is made of tin. There was a lot of quality work done on this building and the bank building at the time of its construction. I hope someone who knows more about this community will contact me.
