William B. Pritchard and Thomas Johnston built a log church known as Victory in 1810, on the Milledgeville-Athens stagecoach road. The congregation changed its name to Concord in 1812. It was the first Methodist church west of the Oconee River. I have been unable to locate a date for the construction of the present structure.

Hello. I come across your posts randomly and always enjoy them. Today I dove into Putnam County, where my family originates. My great grandmother Annie Kate Bustin McLeroy took a bus to Atlanta to have her beloved Concord Church recognized on the National Register of Historic Places & assured of its place. She also wrote a History of Methodism in Putnam County, of which I have a copy. From what I am told and have read, she was an amazing lady. She died March 13, 1962, 3 days after my birth, at the age of 78.
