When I lived in Tippettville, Mr. Willie Cook and often his wife, Mr’s Gladys, would mind the store. There was a pot bellied stove in the center of the store, and in winter, men of the community would sit around the stove and talk on Saturday afternoon. I often walked from my house near Warren and Ellen Cason’s house down to the store or later rode my bike over to see Rosemary and Teresa at the home of Malcolm and Wilma Tippett. Those were such happy times and Tippettville in the 50’s and 60’s had many families in the community.

I believe this store at one time was operated by Lloyd Cook. My great grand father was one of the founding brothers
