The thing about this building is how close the brick pier supports were. Such support ensured that the floor would be straight without sags, etc. The family of my great grandfather James Harrison Walker was living in Lovett when after the Civil War they applied for a pension for his CSA service with Howell’s Light Artillery. The application was denied because he owned a small farm and was not disabled at the time. Hope attention is given this structure, and it will be preserved for many years to come.
