This photo was made circa 2011. The shrimp boats are still the biggest attraction for visitors to Darien. The Gale family has been involved in shrimping these waters for generations.

    These photographs of Darin and surrounding area are treasures to be sure. .I love all the history.
    Interesting that runis were not Spanish missions, but tabby structures built by early settlers! And they have stood the test of time since John Adams! Amazing!
