Normantown is a very isolated community and the store is an essential part of the community. They sell everything from fish bait to health and beauty supplies.

This is located near the Long/Tattnall County line and takes it name for nearby Beards Creek, a tributary of the Altamaha River. The Beards Creek community is just a bit northeast of here.
Buzzy’s, Cedar Crossing
Buzzy’s is one of those rural convenience stores that picks up right where the general stores of yesteryear left off. It sells gas, breakfast, lunch, feed and seed, bait and tackle, and just about anything you might need to save a trip to town.
As of 2020, I believe this may be known as Cedar Crossing Grocery, but it’s still a busy place on Georgia Highway 56.
