Bristol Grocery & Hardware, Bristol

I believe this is the only remaining historic commercial storefront in Bristol. Michelle Martin Lee writes: This was my grandparents’ store. It was called Bristol Grocery & Hardware and was owned by Mr. & Mrs. Drawdy, who are both now deceased.

This store was owned by my grandparents Joseph Franklin Drawdy and Isabell Harris Drawdy in the 70’s. I really enjoyed growing up in the store. My name is Mary Ann Martin Cartwright. We lived in the back of the store and it had a huge kitchen, I also use to ride my big wheel on them cement floors in the store part. It was so much fun. It was named Bristol grocery and hardware. I loved it!!!

This was also my Grandparents store. It was owned by Grover AndRuth Brewton. They lived in an apartment in the back of the store. It was in the 60s & 70s. Many great memories.
