This was the farmhouse of J. D. Bishop, Sr., and was located near my family’s farm in Ben Hill County, near Ashton School and Pine Level Methodist Church. My father recounted to me that this was the first place he ever saw a television, and since at the time, the Bishops had one and they didn’t, they visited with them a couple of nights a week (early 1950s) and watched I Love Lucy and December Bride. Those were simpler times, for sure.

The house had been abandoned for quite a few years and was demolished around 2013.

Robitzsch family lived just across the railroad tracks, east of there. The old Robitzsch homeplace is where I grew up in the 1960’s.
do you have any history of where this house is located and the name of the robitzsch family that lived there and when . thanks
