Buzzy’s is one of those rural convenience stores that picks up right where the general stores of yesteryear left off. It sells gas, breakfast, lunch, feed and seed, bait and tackle, and just about anything you might need to save a trip to town.
As of 2020, I believe this may be known as Cedar Crossing Grocery, but it’s still a busy place on Georgia Highway 56.

Buzzy’s & CCG are two different stores. Buzzy’s store is located on the Uvalda Hwy. Ga Hwy 221, between Uvalda and Hazlehurst. Cedar Crossing Grocery is located on the stretch of Hwy 56 between US #1(Toombs Central) and Hwy 221(Uvalda). Jans fried Chicken is located right beside it and one thing I know for sure is NOBODY’S GOT CHICKEN LIKE MS. JANS FRIED CHICKEN. Hwy 56 used to be a main route for WalMart truckers and Jan’s was one of their favorite places to stop and eat. When I was growing up there was always Walmart trucks at Jan’s. If your passing through the Cedar Crossing area, you’re really missing out if you pass this little restaurant by. 😉
