This interesting barn, one of the few I’ve ever seen with a Ludowici tile roof, can be found just outside Surrency on Georgia Highway 121 [Woodpecker Trail].

What is Ludowici tile?
It’s a red terra cotta tile, which was first manufactured at the Dixie Plant in Ludowici around the turn of the last century. It’s still made by the Celadon company, just not made in Georgia anymore. The old examples are fairly rare to find.
Nothing short of miraculous how you can get clouds more fitting in Montana sky. Seems like all we have in Georgia nowadays is white hazy sky. At least in Atlanta.
