Morven is the oldest community in Brooks County. Though the post office wasn’t designated as Morven until 1853, pioneer settlers had already established a store and post office in the nearby settlement of Mount Zion as early as 1826.

Thank you for the postings of the Masonic Lodge. My great, great, grandfather was a member in the late 1860’s. His name was Benjamin Daniel Harrell and he later relocated to Suwannee County Florida wher was a minister of the gospel and died July 6, 1916.
