Actually, I talked with a local. I spent some time talking with Jeff Veal down the hill in Goat Town, Kaitylyn. I couldn’t find a soul in Deepstep when I was there. The store was closed and I didn’t have the time to go door to door. I’d love to talk to someone more about the history of Deepstep, though.
