Russ Hickman writes: “This was the Bank of Rhine. The president was my great uncle, Robert Ephraim Ponder. He closed the bank in 1935 and paid off all depositors in full according to his grandson, Scott Parks.

        This bank building belonged also to my late grandfather tal Hillard and his wife zesta many years ago he owned a lot of buildings in his small town of Rhine he was one of the wealthiest men back in the day
