You have posted several photos of interesting buildings in Harrison, Washington County. I have never been there, but wonder if there is a connection between my John Walker ancestors from Washington County and the Harrisons. I am glad to see your photos of the places. My Walker family migrated from Pitt County, North Carolina back in 1819 to Washington County. My great grandfather, James Harrison Walker, who was a CSA veteran, was from Washington County. He served in Johnston’s Army of Tennessee with Evan Park Howell’s Light Artillery and fought Sherman’s forces from Dalton to the Macon area in 1864.
Your work makes history come alive and helps create a visual of things long ago. Keep up the good work. You educate in a most interesting way.
