This interesting house is located in the historic Hillview community.
It’s possible that this was double-pen dogtrot that was improved over the years. The rear addition was likely the kitchen, though it’s really hard to know considering the lack of a particular style.
I am a native rural Georgian (from Tennille in Washington County) now living in Little Five Points in Atlanta. What extremes! I love your photography because it conjures up for me the images and memories that are so fundamental to who I am. Thank you so much for sharing what you “see”.

You still need to go to Americus and go up Bumphead Road. There is a perfect Dog Trot on the left several miles up the road from the bypass.
It was a nice building in it’s day !
