Soon after its construction in 1868, the first depot at Butler burned but was immediately rebuilt within its surviving walls. The Southwestern Railroad was later absorbed into the Central of Georgia line.

Greetings Mr. Brown
I would like to ask permission to use photos of Taylor County photos as history related to my family ancestry and story of my great uncle Maceo Snipes.
Thank you for your consideration.

Ms. Johnson- I would love to share some of the photographs, and have better versions available than those on the website. I’d also love to know more about your project as I believe all of these stories about racial injustice not only deserve to be shared but shared with as many people as possible. Please email me at wbrianbrown@gmail.com for more discussion. Thanks and look forward to it. -Brian
