Coopers Creek Baptist Church & Cemetery, Union County

This congregation was established in 1849.

A cemetery sits on a bald behind the church and features numerous historic headstones.

Primitive soapstone markers are scattered throughout and represent an important vernacular resource.

It’s crazy to see the little white church that straight across the road (why 60) from the little red house that my grandfather built probably a different color now , but this is where their forever resting place is also. I always remember growing up in Coopers Creek Ga. Fannin County.i spent every summer there.
