This was originally the Gibson Theatre, opened in the late 1940s or or early 1950s. Since 1986, it has been home to the Gibson Lodge No. 257, F. & A. M.

It was definitely a former theater although they had quit showing movies on a regular basis by the time I was a child. I did go to a gospel music show there once.
Yes, my dad said he saw “Creature from the Black Lagoon” there with his cousins. 🙂
It was indeed a theater during my mother’s childhood there.
