The little girl in the front yard is Ruth Bone. The home is still owned by her two children.

i have many fond memories of visiting my grandmother and granddaddy and playing in mamas playhouse and baking cookies with grandmama.
mama…ruth bone davis …met my daddy , Phil, at her home. My grandmother loved daddy( he was stationed at the douglas air base as the assistant commandant) and rented the front bedroom. Grandmother Ruth, had a dinner party for my mother when she came home from Atlanta where she was working….the rest is history!

I love this house. Probably because it reminds me of my grandparent’s house in Plains, GA. Theirs was a Sears kit home that was built in 1920. Thanks for sharing!
