According to the South Ga. Conf. history, this Church was built around 1908. My father served as pastor there 1950-52. The old frame parsonage was to the right of the church and forward. The Morven High School was to the left. Conference records show a “Morven Circuit” before 1867, but likely the Morven folks worshiped in nearby Mt. Zion, also called “Campground,” since it was the site for an 1831-1881 Methodist Camp Meeting. The Circuit in the 1950’s included Morven, Mt. Zion, Barney, Union and Concord.
My father preached 10, 11:15 and Evening Services to give each at least two services a month. Morven had one 11:15 and two Evenings.
Is this church still standing? If so what is the address? A relative founded this church we would like to visit
