Around the year 2000 this building housed a dialysis center. Inside the front door there were steps leading up to the main floor level. Since some patients required wheel chairs, the ramp on the side of the building was needed to reach an exterior door at the main floor level .
I love buildings like this that have lovely details when there was probably no practical reason for them. Some craftsman had pride in his work.
