    I love the way the porch is built – how instead of there being a corner, there’s a short gabled porch branching out from the point. I’d like to use that idea if I ever build a home.

      That house belonged to my paternal grandparents for decades. My late father (born in 1910) grew up there. When my father and his two surviving brothers sold the house in 1976 I was the last family member who walked out of it. I locked the front doors.
