Tallahassee Missionary Baptist Church. This is the church I grew up in. The place where life long friendships became life long family. I remember Sunday school, Easter speeches, and family day where some of the best lemonade was made. I’m so proud how this church continues to thrive. Thank you so much for sharing.
Beautiful in it’s simplicity! There is a nearly identical AA church in Alapaha. I have always thought that it was one of the most beautiful churches I have seen.

Why do many rural Baptist churches have one tall and one short bell tower or steeple?

Hi Brian. Thanks so much for documenting these structures. I didn’t see any photos of the old Rosenwald schoolhouse. Is it still standing?
The building across from the church? It’s still there and I got a shot. Will post it soon. It’s in really bad shape.
Please go to Center Community out of Vidalia Methodist church very very old
