This water tower supplied the mill village of Milstead. It reaches a height of 100 feet and is 14 feet in diameter. It was built by contractor J. B. McQuary for $3000 and was used until 1965.

This is amazingly similar but not as tall as the old water tower in Atlanta that was built about 1912 to provide water to the sprinkler to a large cotton warehouse block (Atlanta’s first reinforced concrete structure) on Auburn Ave that is now Studioplex Lofts. Very similar
Architecture. It would be interesting to see if the two towers have a similar design or construction pedigree.
I love it. So simple looking but a vital part of the community.
