I love these old houses with their weathered siding and rusty roofs! They just evoke a slower, simpler time although I know it was hard living back then. 🥰🥰
I remember in the 70’s and even into the 80’s a wonderful old house situated in a field on the North side of Hwy. 80 between Scott and Dublin that was long abandoned. It had beautiful, weathered siding (no paint) and it was often photographed. Once I even saw an artist with an easel in the field presumedly drawing or painting it. Do you have any recollection of the house or perhaps a photo?

They are wonderful survivors, but yes, they remind us of a time when life was good but much more difficult.

Who lived in this house back in the day? Is it on farmland?
