Fitzgerald Hebrew Congregation, 1942

Fitzgerald is the smallest town in Georgia with an active synagogue, and the history of the congregation is quite fascinating. Part of the structure originated as the wood frame North Methodist Episcopal Church, which was built in 1901. The brick veneer was added and the present form realized circa 1942.
