This congregation dates to circa 1823. This structure was built around 1891. Though I haven’t been able to locate an accessible church history, Barbara Scott’s comment leads me to believe that Zachariah White was either the found or the first pastor of the church, and since he is buried beneath it, the original structure may have been located on this site.
My name is Barbara Scott and I grew up attending this church. The tombstone of Zachariah White is in the back wall of the educational building. His grave is under the church.
