Kerri Miller Revell writes: This house was built by Turner Jackson Miller who moved his horses and wagons by train to Terrell County sometime after 1915 from Hawkinsville. He was married twice. First to Mary Francis Edwards and they had 10 children one of which was my grandfather Lloyd Jackson Miller born in 1897. My father (Harold Jackson Miller) was born in Herod. After the death of his first wife he married Jennelle Turner and they had three children two of which still live in the Dover community in Terrell County. Turner Jackson Miller was buried at the the church cemetery in the Dover community.

I found out yesterday, 10/18/2014, that this house was demolished in order to put up a new irrigation system by my dad’s family. I have many memories of this house and being in this house. Thank you for preserving this memory for me and my family!
My uncle-in-laws sister used to live here and she said it was haunted. We were able to take pictures of the inside, though the pictures are not that great due to an extremely old digital camera and horrible printer, but if you would like I could share those with you. I just happened to come across your web site looking for old pictures of courthouses and jails. This house here is the house my daddy and his 11 brothers and sisters grew up in. One of my uncles and his sons had it up and running as a hunting lodge about 20 years ago, then another family member moved in when the hunting lodge fell through. Then I’m not sure what happened. It still belongs to my family and I hate to see that they allowed it to get into this condition..
