The Union Pharmacy was owned by my Grandfather Oliver Francis Deen and later by my uncle Thomas S. Deen. I have a lot of memories of going there with my father Oliver (Buddy) Deen and my uncle. I’m now a maritime attorney in Houston. I like Texas, but miss Gogia and Florida.

My mother, Winnie Sapp, worked at Union Pharmacy for Mr. Deen in the early 1950’s, leaving because she married my father and moved away to begin life as a railroad wife. My mother is still living and is 95. She talks to this day about the good times working at Union Pharmacy and what a fine man Thomas Deen was.

My grandfather John Deen( Oliver’s brother) was co owner with Oliver in the beginning and they “had a falling out” according to the family story. I remember visiting the Deen pharmacy as a child when Tom owned it. He always sent me to pick out a toy when we came. My mother was Lullah Deen Witt.

Was it always called Union Pharmacy? Or Deen Pharmacy?
What is the address? Tom S. Sent a note to my mother with a Sellers St. on it. Does anyone have any old pictures of the pharmacy?
