Any relation to Mitchell Ellis? He was Chief of Police when I lived in Ellaville at the turn of the century. (2000-2001). His dad was Chief at one time, too, but was running a gas station just south of town when I knew him. They were customers of Planter’s Hardware where I worked.
Munro Ellis was the brother of Mitchell’s grandfather.
I believe that originally it was a “Waco-Pep” Station.

In the early 60’s this was a beauty salon. I vaguely remember getting a hair cut when I was no more than 7 or 8. Ellaville: good memories of visiting Grandma in the summer.
