This view was made from the newly renovated Johnson Hardware Company Building (now “The Loft on Pine”) and shows familiar Pine Street storefronts. The Holtzendorf Building (middle) was home to Dock’s Credit Jewelry for many years.

Who owned Docks back in the mid 80’s?
Martha Boggus
I bought jewelry from them. I remember a man running it and he had a wife named Ann.
That was her son, “Butch”. They have both passed away.
In the 1940’s and probably before that Owen’s photo studio was located upstairs

I would like to ban stucco from Fitzgerald. 😉
I agree. It has ruined the look of downtown in a big way. That’s why many neighborhoods in Macon, Atlanta, and even Florida, have banned it. It’s cheap and therefore requires regular upkeep; hence, for a historical “restoration” it’s totally incorrect.
It’s a shame the way they bastardize the store fronts.
Totally agree, Greg!
