This was a guest cottage for the nearby South End House (Reynolds Mansion). It is a Dutch Colonial Sears-Roebuck kit house. The barn was likely built at the same time but I haven’t been able to confirm.

Thank you for your “newly posted” beautiful pictures of Sapelo Island and Hog Hammock. Because of your pictures and a news article I read about the property tax problems there, I made contact with Cornelia Walker Bailey and plan to visit there in April or May. I pray I can help in some way to preserve this historical African American area.
I’ve never been to Sapelo Island even though it’s been on my “to do” list for years. You’ve convinced me that it’s “time” this year to go!
