This church appears to have been built around the turn of the last century. The front vestibule looks like a later addition. James Dean notes that it was formerly the Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church.

Hello Dianne, I have some questions about Pleasant Hill Primative Baptist Church…can we talk?
I sat on those old wooden pews many times in my youth and listened to Elder Raybon Lord and others preach. I mostly remember “Big Meeting” or “Annual Meeting” time and having “Dinner on the Grounds”. Those Sisters of the Church could put on quite a feast. I attended in the late 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. I remember it being called Sycamore Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Brown was one of the deacons of the church. The front vestibule was added after it was no longer Sycamore Primitive Baptist Church.
I am pretty sure that it was formerly the Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church. Our Granddaddy and some other relatives were members there.
Thanks, James. I’ll add that to the post.
