I am researching the town and trying to find out when and who established the town
Thanks Buzz
I wonder if it is next door to our church. Surrency Baptits church North main street . Parallel to 341 highway ? Our curch looks identilcal to the house next to it. Our church built in 1903.
Is there a record showing who/when the town of Surrency was established?
Thanks for the info but I live in Florida, and I have no idea of what the sign/record shows next door My heritage that I am trying to trace goes back to Samuel and Elizabeth Surrency. I am just trying to connect the dots if possible Thanks Buzz Powers

Brian,
My mother says…This one belong to the wife of the Postmaster
Mc Lemore. She was Jackie Johnson. They had 2 sons.
My mother confirms those facts. Mrs. McLemore married Mr. McLemore and he was the Postmaster. The House was built by the Johnsons and he was the Stationmaster for the Train yard in town.
This house is on the Historic Register according to my brother.
