Johnson-McLemore House, Surrency

This house was built by a Mr. Johnson, who was the station master for the railroad, and was later owned by the McLemore family. Mr. McLemore was the postmaster in Surrency at the time.

      I wonder if it is next door to our church. Surrency Baptits church North main street . Parallel to 341 highway ? Our curch looks identilcal to the house next to it. Our church built in 1903.

      Thanks for the info but I live in Florida, and I have no idea of what the sign/record shows next door My heritage that I am trying to trace goes back to Samuel and Elizabeth Surrency. I am just trying to connect the dots if possible Thanks Buzz Powers

      My mother confirms those facts. Mrs. McLemore married Mr. McLemore and he was the Postmaster. The House was built by the Johnsons and he was the Stationmaster for the Train yard in town.
