So glad to see that this church was included in your collection. My Great Great Grandfather was one of the founders and as a child in the 60’s I would attend service there with my grandparents (Church was on second Sundays). I have many family members buried in the cemetery, including grandparents, my father and a brother. I remember the men sitting on the right and the ladies sitting on the left. The men would stand and call out a hymn to sing then lead the congregation in the old style Lining of the song. Mostly, I remember the sing-song cadence of the preacher as he would espouse the wages of sin. My most recent attendance was the service at my aunt’s funeral some years ago and the church was much the same then as I remembered, with some improvements.
I think my Cone ancestors are buried at Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. All in unmarked graves therefore they don’t show up on name list for the cemetery.

Is the Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church still an active congregation?
