Davisboro, Georgia

Davisborough was settled around 1821 and the name was later changed to Davisboro. It was the site, on 18 May 1922, of the mob lynching of Charles Atkins.

      Became Davisboro Service Center in the early 1960’s when Dr. John Taylor, Pharmacist & Owner, passed away. It was no longer a prescription type drug store at that time until the store closed in the mid 1970’s.
